Lomond Mountain Rescue Team
Lomond Mountain Rescue Team is one of the busiest Mountain Rescue Teams in Scotland, providing search and rescue services across an area of over 1000 square miles. The charity, now over fifty years old, provides an unparallelled service to visitors to the mountains, lochs and forests in Central Scotland.
Thirty voluntary team members are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year to assist lost, ill or injured walkers, runners, cyclists, climbers and holiday makers within the region. Centrally located in a purpose built Rescue Post in the village of Drymen, the Team is ideally situated to quickly respond to any emergency in its off road vehicles.
As a charity the team depends entirely on fundraising to ensure it maintains its first class service. Please feel free to visit our website and look at the pictures to get a feel for the work we do.
