The Excelsior Trust was formed in 1983 following extensive restoration of Excelsior our 77ft 1921 Lowestoft Smack. She has been taking young people and adults out to sea for life changing adventure since her re-commissioning in 1989. Year on year our sailing program which runs from April to October takes in a wide variety of ports in both the UK and Europe, with the Baltic and North sea waters becoming firm favourites. Providing an array of opportunities to groups and individuals, our incredibly skilled crew pride themselves on not only great seamanship but their aptitude with working with individuals and their needs, be it bringing them out of there shell, learning a new skill or helping them develop their inner sense of self.
