Pahar Trust Nepal

The Pahar Trust is a British based charity and was registered in 1993. Its main focus is raising the funds necessary and co-ordinating the construction of schools in remote areas of East and West Nepal.

To date, 60 new schools have been completed and opened, and 24 schools have been renovated. The Pahar Trust has also raised funds for and co-ordinated 22 related, yet non-school building, projects. These include hostels as well as water, health and housing projects. The Trust also runs a child sponsorship scheme with over 100 needy children and families being sponsored. As well as the labourers and craftsmen, required for construction, The Pahar Trust employs a small team in Nepal, headed by four ex British Gurkha soldiers, who organise, plan and implement the charity's projects in Nepal.
